Last updated: October 3, 2026

The GLPSpot ("we," "us," or "our") operates theglpspot.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit our Site, subscribe to our newsletter, or otherwise interact with us.

  • To analyze Site traffic and improve our content.
  • To serve relevant advertisements through third-party ad networks.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. Sharing Your Information

We may disclose information to:

  • Service providers: Email delivery platforms (e.g., Beehiiv), analytics providers (Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights, when analytics is allowed), and hosting providers that support the Site.
  • Advertising networks: We display ads through Journey by Mediavine, our exclusive programmatic advertising partner. It and its demand partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your interests. See their privacy policies for details.
  • Affiliate networks: We participate in affiliate programs. Clicking affiliate links may allow third parties to set cookies on your device. We disclose affiliate relationships per FTC guidelines.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. YouTube API Services and Google User Data

The GLPSpot uses YouTube API Services to manage content on the YouTube channel that the channel owner expressly authorizes. This includes uploading and scheduling videos, setting video titles and descriptions, checking upload and visibility status, and posting channel comments requested by the channel owner. By using features that connect to YouTube, the authorizing user is also agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service.

Data Accessed

With the channel owner's authorization, our private publishing tools may access the channel identity and YouTube API data needed for those operations, such as video IDs, titles, descriptions, upload and processing status, privacy status, scheduled publication times, and comments. We store OAuth access and refresh tokens so the authorized tools can perform these requested operations. We do not receive or store the user's Google password.

How YouTube Data Is Used and Shared

YouTube data is used only to operate, verify, and monitor the authorized GLPSpot publishing workflow. We do not sell YouTube user data, use it for advertising, or disclose it to unrelated third parties. Data is transmitted to Google and YouTube as necessary to perform requested API operations and may be processed by infrastructure providers that support our private publishing system. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google's handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Retention, Revocation, and Deletion

OAuth tokens and operational YouTube metadata are retained only while needed to provide and secure the authorized publishing workflow. The authorizing user may revoke The GLPSpot's Google access at any time through the Google Account third-party access page. Revocation prevents future API access but does not automatically delete content already published to YouTube. To request deletion of locally stored OAuth credentials or associated API data, email hello@theglpspot.com. We will delete the requested local data unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

5. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Required for the Site to function properly.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, and Vercel Speed Insights run only after you allow optional analytics. Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change that choice.
  • Advertising: Journey may display a separate advertising-consent interface based on your location. Those advertising choices are independent of the analytics choice on this Site.
  • Affiliate links: Affiliate partners may use cookies or similar technologies after you follow an affiliate link.

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Rejecting or withdrawing analytics consent stops our optional analytics tools from running; it does not change Journey’s separate advertising preferences.

6. Your Rights

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents may have the right to know, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, as applicable. Our advertising partner may process browsing and device information to select and measure ads. If you are located in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. You also have the right to data portability and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our analytics tools run only after you opt in; you can withdraw that choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the Site footer. To exercise other rights, contact us at the email below.

7. Data Retention

We retain email addresses for newsletter subscribers until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained per the default retention settings of our analytics provider. You may request deletion of your data at any time.
