Wegovy Pill Cost in 2026: Price by Dose

As of October 4, 2026, NovoCare lists monthly self-pay prices of $149 for the 1.5 mg Wegovy tablet, $199 for 4 mg, and $299 for both 9 mg and 25 mg.[6] NovoCare defines a month as one bottle of 30 tablets.[6] The program has eligibility and other restrictions, and Novo Nordisk says it can change or cancel the offer.[6]

Wegovy tablet dose Posted self-pay price per month
1.5 mg $149
4 mg $199
9 mg $299
25 mg $299

These are posted medication prices, not a promise that everyone qualifies or will pay that amount after insurance, pharmacy, or prescriber costs.[6] Confirm the price for your prescription with the program and pharmacy before enrolling or filling it.[6]

GoodRx Care Direct pricing

GoodRx Care Direct also lists $149 for the 1.5 mg tablet, $199 for 4 mg, and $299 for 9 mg or 25 mg.[7] Its page separately lists a $39 monthly treatment plan with telehealth care and check-ins.[7] If that monthly fee applies, adding it to the medication prices gives $188, $238, or $338 for those dose levels.[7] Those are simple sums of the listed charges, not guaranteed checkout totals.[7] Confirm eligibility, billing, and what the plan includes directly with GoodRx before enrolling.[7]

GoodRx labels $149 an introductory price for the 1.5 mg dose only.[7] Its current page does not describe a two-fill introductory offer for the Wegovy pill.[7] NovoCare advertises a separate two-month introductory offer for select Wegovy injection strengths, not the tablet doses.[6] The injection promotion is not a pill price.[6]

Why the starting price does not describe a full course

The FDA label's standard tablet schedule starts at 1.5 mg for 30 days, then moves to 4 mg and 9 mg in 30-day stages before the recommended 25 mg maintenance dose.[5] NovoCare's posted medication prices increase after the starting dose.[6] GoodRx Care Direct also lists a $39 monthly plan fee, separate from the medication price.[7]

For a rough budget example, if someone qualifies for GoodRx Care Direct, pays the $39 plan fee each month, and follows the standard 30-day schedule, the listed medication-plus-plan amounts would look like this:[5][6][7]

Stage in label schedule Wegovy tablet dose NovoCare self-pay price GoodRx medication + $39 plan
Days 1–30 1.5 mg $149 $188
Days 31–60 4 mg $199 $238
Days 61–90 9 mg $299 $338
Day 91 onward 25 mg $299 $338

These are arithmetic examples based on the posted prices, not a quote or guarantee of what a patient will pay.[6][7] They assume one GoodRx plan fee in each 30-day stage, and they do not include any other provider, pharmacy, or shipping charges.[7] A prescriber may delay an increase if a dose is not tolerated; do not change the dose to manage cost without discussing it with the prescriber.[5]

What to check before comparing prices

First, compare the same formulation and dose. Wegovy tablets and Wegovy injections are different forms with different dose schedules, so an injection discount should not be used to estimate tablet cost.[5][6]

Next, separate medication cost from care fees. GoodRx Care Direct lists a $39 treatment-plan fee in addition to its medication price.[7] NovoCare's self-pay table lists medication prices, and its program terms may affect who can use them.[6] Ask whether a quoted amount includes any required consultation, follow-up, pharmacy, or shipping charges before you commit.[6][7]

Insurance can change the comparison. The posted manufacturer self-pay rates are not the same as an insurance copay, and GoodRx says it is not health insurance.[6][7] Check your plan's coverage and the offer terms rather than assuming the self-pay price is automatically the lowest amount for you.[6][7]

Bottom line

NovoCare currently lists $149, $199, and $299 per month for Wegovy tablets, depending on dose.[6] GoodRx Care Direct lists the same medication prices, plus its separate $39 monthly care-plan fee.[7] Confirm the current price and eligibility with the program and pharmacy before making a decision.[6][7]
